No navigation voice prompts - Apple Car Play - Subaru Outback XT 2021

The voice prompts using Apple Maps / apple car play are no longer working.
I've set Subaru infotainment voice navigation volume to 20.
0n my iPhone 15 pro (running iOS 17) in settings for maps I've set voice volume to "louder".
Still no joy.
Help!

You might go into the settings for Navigation (or Sound - I can't remember which menu it's under) and check if the NAV volume has changed to 0 or close to 0. Additionally, on the NAV screen itself, there is an icon of a speaker; if it has a line through it, it is muted. I hope this info helps. . . .

Nav volume in infotainment was ok. launched infotainment maps to see if speaker was enabled, it was. Problems persists.
