I've found very little information about this (none really), except for price. What exactly does it do? I assume it connects to the OB's existing alarm system, but where?

Does anyone have any experience with it?

I purchased it after buying our 2016 Outback but haven't installed it, yet. Here are the installation instructions to show where it mounts http://techinfo.subaru.com/proxy/79571/pdf/079571-H7150AL000-2015LegObkPerimeterAlarmIxI.pdf. You need the dealer to activate it with heir computer before it'll work.

It basically adds a shock sensor function to the alarm which will set it off if the car is bumped or shaken. The regular alarm only sounds if the doors are opened.

I did the install today and it wasn't difficult to follow the instructions, but time consuming. Took me about 1.5 hours working methodically. The only hiccup I had was not realizing this was a nut (Item 1 in attachment) that had to be unscrewed. I pulled it off with a trim tool and damaged it. Other than that, it was a straightforward little project. Unfortunately, I can't test it until I visit the dealer and have them configure it with Subaru Select Monitor.

Waking an old thread. Does anyone have the installation instructions for this sensor they can share?
