I'm interested in this too. Removed the stupid stickers and am left with an area that is substantially lighter than the surrounding cloth, just like in mattytreks' picture. Ideas welcome.

 

I wouldn't necessarily consider my area significantly lighter, although it's definitely a shade, possibly two, lighter. Plus I think over time as you use the visor, the sun will fade it to a more even color.

However...definitely want to address that corner residue!

 

I would imagine it's just leftover residue - I couldn't see how the other areas would have gotten that dirty so quickly on a newer car. Try an interior fabric cleaner :

I used this stuff to remove chocolate from the passenger seat the other day. Worked fantastic.

 

Another trick that may work is using adhesive tape. Packaging tape has worked well for me. I would not try duct tape.
Stick it to the adhesive you're wanting to remove and pull the tape off smartly. Kinda like waxing (or so I've heard)

 

I must admit, I was skeptical after initially reading this...however I decided to try it because it seemed the least intrusive and posed the lowest risk to cause fabric damage (think putting liquid of some sort onto the area).

Low and behold...the packaging tape WORKED! It was very cold this morning, so not sure if that helped or hindered the effort, but I simply applied the tape a few times, pressed firmly on the back of the tape to ensure it got a good hold, and, voila!

I used spray brake cleaner and it worked great! Spray it on and whipe it with a white rag.

 

3M Adhesive Remover, which is safe on almost anything. But PLEASE try it on a hidden area first to be sure it won't damage the material, which I imagine is a synthetic fabric. It's always been fine on such fabrics for me.

mattytreks-what did you use initially to get the yellow portion of the warning sticker off?

 

For all but the little piece of residue pictured in my first post, I actually just "lifted" a corner of the sticker with my nail, then slowly started pulling the sticker until it came off.
