Hey all - I've noticed more often than not, that after using the My Subaru app to remote start the vehicle, once I get in the shifter is locked in the P position. I need to turn off the car and turn it back on to enable the shifter. One time, I couldn't even turn the car off manually and had to wait for the timer on the remote start to finish.

Any ideas?

The transmission interlock is engaged if you remote start.
After getting into the car, you will need to press the start button once to disengage the interlock and be able to shift out of park.

I remote start quite a bit and the display prompts me to depress the brake, then press the start button. Just press the brake, press start and you’re good to go. Remembering to press the brake first took me a few cycles since push button and remote start are new to me.
