I have not seen any. Most drivers here use the plasti-dip or the vinyl tape to cover the chrome. It's a DIY

You may also want to re-consider your thread title to something more appropriate since its more related to chrome cosmetics than the 2020 Subaru Onyx, jus' sayin...

 

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from Orsini Vinyl & Designs but am curious to see how others have customized theirs. Care to share?

 

I had trouble deciding so ordered two sets a while back. They took about two weeks to arrive. I still havn't decided which are getting installed ( maybe both) but I'm in no hurry . To be honest, I'm kinda likeing the origonal Subaru logo (as this is my first Outback).

Yes, that's the color. Design is Metalic Silver (which is really more of a grey)

 

I ordered the black intergalactic thinking it would go well with the blacked out Onyx details but that blue looks fantastic. The design I ordered is the mountains with bigfoot. Looking forward to getting it.

 

Will the automatic rear tailgate still work with the overlay? Very interested if someone puts it on and confirms the function is still operational.

I am very interested in getting my Subaru emblems vinyl wrapped, has anyone done this and does it affect the hands free function?

Several people have said it does not interfere with the functionality at all.

That looks great tmsuttle! So, how hard are they to apply? Do you feel like there's wiggle room when you're installing it to make minor corrections, or once it's down, it's down? Did you also do the steering wheel?

 

They went on pretty easily. I kind of touch fit them to get it right before pressing them down. You get two full sets so there is some room for error. I didn't put the one on the steering wheel but did on our other Outback. They've been on since the middle of December and several washes and are holding up just fine.

 

Love my Orsini overlays. Silver metallic over shade shift intergalactic black. No issues with the hands free.

Hey guys. Looking to order my emblem overlays. What is the check box "No Stars/Designs." I see when that box is unchecked, there are several impreza/forrester/Subaru emblems to choose from, but you get to choose a color. When the box is checked. Those options go away. Just don't want to screw up my order. I just want what is in the picture (Black and Grey American flag).

 

Hey Fuzz, I don't know the answer, but I would use their contact link to ask them. I had questions before ordering mine (wanted to make sure I got the color choices right) and they were very helpful.

 

Like others, no issue with the wave to open feature
The background is a carbon fiber look (you can’t see it well in the pictures). I had the outer grill trim piece taped red to see how it would look but the red was too bright for my taste so I may try a darker red when I can get some.

I like that red. It reminds me of my 1977 VW Rabbit that was modded to the the Euro-only GTi suspension, so I added the Euro Golf GTi name badges and painted the grill surround red. I carried that red grill trim on with its successor, a 1984 VW Scirocco that had the US-GTI suspension and drivetrain, to which I added the Euro-exhaust manifold, oil cooler and Euro Scirocco GTi badge. Those great cars are long gone, but I still kept the badges.

I was considering adding a red accent to the grill bar that carries the Subaru logo on my 2021 Premium. What tape did you use for taping the red around your grill? Thanks for the photo.

Mine got here today. Shade shift intergalactic black background with silver metallic design. I love the peace of mind that the second set that they include provides, knowing I could mess it up - it made my install much less stressful
