ive had my OB for 9 months and im starting to look into SOME kind of upgrade to the suspension. ive considered 2" and im not saying that a 2" is off the table. but im curious has anyone added just a leveling spacer or a set of 1" springs to their OB fir just a small bump in height? if so- any pics? did you have any of the wobbles like those with 2" lifts get?

been thinking of doing the rallitek springs. id prefer springs to a spacer

I have one inch lift spacers from Anderson Design. In hindsight I don't know that it was worth it. I spent $150 on spacers, $60 on a realignment, and another $50 on a transmission mount insert. I did get the wobble, but thankfully it went away after the insert.

Bottom line I spent about $260 and the difference is minimal to the extent that when I part next to my friend's bone stock Outback I have to squint to see the difference. All terrain tires made much more of a difference in my opinion. Not saying it looks bad or anything, I think it actually looks really good. But just that considering the cost and end result I wish I'd just gone with a 2 inch kit to begin with.

I know primitive makes a true 1.5" lift with coils but they use the stock struts. however, the primitive does supply rear subframe spacers to address alignment issues. i have yet to see a kit over 1.5" that does not include some rear subframe spacers to adjust the rear back into OEM spec for alignment. i like the primitive kit, its around $800. but i dont intend on doing much more than daily driving my OB and hauling the family- so anything 1" or more is just not needed right now, unless i get a wild hair up my ass and decide to go that route for looks because it looks great. just not looking to wear out OEM components prematurely due to a lift i rarely utilize- like a 2" lift

That’s what I mean on other 4x4 a typical or “correct lift” involves springs, shocks, spacers or many times extended suspension components and even steering components. Yes, they are often $1k or more but at least it’s done right and minimizes if not eliminates drive issues or damage to driveline.
