Either here or on the FB group, someone recently posted a Subaru part number for a replacement engine oil drain plug with 17mm hex. Silly me, I didn't make a note of it. Does anyone have the number or a link?

If you are considering doing your own oil changes take a look at getting a Fumoto valve and scrap the drain plug. This will make draining your oil a breeze with no mess. I put one on my outback and I would never go back to a regular plug.

An update. I did my first oil change today. Grabbed a 14mm socket and slid under the car. Uh, nope. It's got a 17mm hex on the drain plug. And yes, it's exactly the plug described by the TSB. This is a 2022 2.4T, built in early December 2021. Don't buy the new plug until you check your original.
