If they didn't I think you're due. Wonder if the dealer would have records. If it goes, you will have bent valves. But at 190K it may be ready for the scrapyard anyway. Your call.

 

Recommendation is 100K? You're almost at 200K and 100K of that is you and you're asking if you should? If it was done, you're due. If not you're way over and are gambling? Remember, the house always wins in the end.

In the USA the recommended interval is 100,000 miles.

The rest of the world is 60,000 miles using the same parts!

For peace of mind 100,000 is as far as I would ever go.

I always used the 7/70 when I ran the older Subies. 7 years -or- 70K miles whichever come first.

For me, I ALWAYS hit the time-limit before getting to the mileage. (My 2017 Impreza has only 40K miles...but that is timing-chain)

Understanding that a broken TB is HIGH risk of expensive repairs... why gamble?

 

I think the 2.5 an interference engine, if that's correct, you are risking a total engine failure if it breaks

YES!

"Replacing Timing Belt" kinda inferrs that several other things gets replaced.
This includes Pulleys(with bearings), Tensioner and perhaps even the waterpump.

The toothed pulleys do not need to be replaced. (crankshaft, camshaft)

 

I used to replace timing belts myself, but never on a Subie. On a high mileage car, I would replace anything I had to take off or was easily available during the belt process. Typically it was a water pump.
