The lower edge of the silver cladding on the lower front bumper of my green 2020 XT Touring got scraped by something. I would like to touch it up but do not know what product to search for. It does not need to be perfect but I do not want the black to be showing through like it does now. This appears to be the same silver color that is used as accents on the roof rack.

Not sure on the paint, but maybe this can help: Several members on here have removed their silver lower front bumper cover in efforts to black out their vehicle. Maybe one of them would sell to you - it isn’t a very expensive part.

If you put deep scratches in it, would you be happy with just painting them? If you're talking about this, it's about $135 new

The paint pen from the dealer is probably about $30 but it's meant for touch ups. Used sounds like a good option too.

I scuffed up the silver plastic piece on my Limited, contacted SOA, they had no answer and said to contact my dealer. I went to the hardware store and bought several different variations of silver model paint in small bottles. None of them was a match by itself so I mixed them together till I came up with something I could live with.

Right it's not a normal paint color, e.g. it's not ice silver - it's silver plastic. The whole piece can be removed and spray painted a uniform color of your choice. Be creative!

In any car I can recall owning the paint code was usually on one front door jamb label. Before they started putting it there it used to be on the build sheet if you could find it. I have seen the paint code on my OB so I know it's inside the door. Besides, it's not as if you'd be the first customer who needed your colour. They've probably mixed it many times already.

The piece we're discussing is the silver plastic cover at the bottom of the picture. It is not the same color as the body panels so the paint code on the inside of the door would not be applicable. I searched for a paint code for the silver piece and never found one. In my case the scuffs weren't bad enough for me to take off the cover and repaint or replace it.

Oh, crap. Sorry. I usually navigate to a thread from my emails and got this one mixed up with the one who's bumper was scratched between dealer and home. OK, such a place may still be an option. Some of them have the same gizmo that paint stores use to scan colours for custom mixing. That means they might be able to scan the plastic piece and come really close with a spray bomb.
