Well as much as I love my 2001 Subaru Outback, I have found that it can be quite expensive to operate all the time, upgrade like I want, so I'm slowing the roll on that project for now, but none the less it will get what is due.

Anyways I've rolled into another project and picked up a 1980 Toyota Corolla 3-door Liftback, TE-72 for those that know about chassis codes. I paid 400 dollars for it, it has 103,000 miles on it, and it runs really well, with the exception of the power steering has a leak, windshield wipers aren't working, weather striping needs replacing, and that's it for any real major repairs that need to be done.

Anyways if anyone knows of a good forum to go to for corollas that would be awesome.

Nice! Those AE86s are pretty cool.

awesome.. TE72s are pretty awesome.. and while they aren't as popular as the AE86 (Hachiroku).. you can pretty much do whatever you want with them and make them just as fun...

Here's a couple of pics for inspiration maybe?

I had one of those! It was a 1981 SR5, a 2 door hard top coupe. It's one of my favorite cars that I have owned. My dad bought it for me in 1984 when I was in school. It had 60,000 miles on it. Fun to drive - a light, RWD car with a 5 speed. And extremely reliable. I drove it until 1990 and well over 200,000 miles. Gave it to my brother (poor college student at the time), who drove it for over a year and then gave it to a friend. No major repairs were ever needed. My biggest issue with it was that it had no A/C (not broken, it wasn't installed at the factory).

An '82 SR5 Hatchback manual was my firt car! Loved it. The guage cluster was great for it's day lol.

It got me to the 'put ins' at West Virginia's rivers. A real sleeper on dirt roads.

Nice on the paved twisties too. Highway 16 eat of Charleston is a great twisty road that follows the New River. The car was way underpowered, but still fun.
