on blu ray

I talked to the owners..it will be featured on the new Scooby do blue ray disc!

It doesn't run so I offered to get it running..
Alot of folks love this van...Some guy in Poland donated the wheels and another person paid for the shipping to USA...It's a real collective effort for us Scooby do fans.

They also have a chev celebrity wagon decked out as the Ghost busters ambulance as well!!!

Wow, I Googled "Newberg Mystery Machine" just to see if anyone had taken pictures, and you did! My name is Brady and Im the one who painted this beasty up and also did the Ectomobile.

This Mystery Machine is actually a 1966 GMC Handi Van, and quite a rare one given its lack of side windows, sliding or double doors.

The Scooby blu-ray is still in the works, but I have been in contact with the folks planning it out; so we will see what happens. The Ectomobile has been on tv several times already and is in the Special Features of a current blu-ray dvd, but Im not supposed to give out details yet until its release in the USA.

Any help in getting this thing running would be awesome! The wiring is a bit of a mess from the people who owned it before, which doesnt help anything at all. The engine does turn over though, but it isnt getting any spark. The points and rotor look good, as does the carb and it is pumping fuel; so its probably just one wire someplace that isnt hooked up like it should be. Im making up a decal to put in the back window of all people involved to do this project, so I would be more than happy to add you to the list!

Here is a picture of the van before so you can see what it stared as, and a pic of the Ectomobile too just for kicks:

This project was definately a group effort, and I would like to thank the following people for getting The Mystery Machine this far. It's not quite done yet, so I may have to add more names to the list; but credit is surely due:

Kummrow Farms, Sherwood Oregon
Donation of the van itself to the project.

David Leifheit, Dallas Oregon
Steering wheel, door and window cranks, and manual print-outs.

EMS Manufacturing, Sherwood Oregon
Monetary donation towards the project.

Steve Samaan of VinylDisorder.com
Great work on the custom orange flower and "The Mystery Machine" decals.

Mike Dunagin, Warsaw Poland
Donation of the vintage Cragar mag wheels to the project.

Steve Armstrong, Kamiah Idaho
For shipping help with Mike's wheels.

Americas Tire, Tualatin Oregon
Help and research to get donated wheels to fit van.
