I'm new here, first time Subaru owner (my new 2021 Outback Limited is being delivered this week!)...and as excited as I am about my new Outback, I'm jonesing for those Black Onyx wheels (not enough to actually get an Onyx, but a lot all the same). So let's say I find a set on the interweb, will the center cap and tire pressure monitors that are in the stock wheels work with the new wheels...or do I have to buy new ones for the new wheels?
None of the Onyx wheels I find have the TPMS or center caps.

Thanks!

Yes you can have the TPMS transferred to your new wheels - that's why the ones you see for sale don't have them installed - the previous owner put them in their new wheels.

If you can find the onyx wheels cheap that's fine - others have plastidipped or painted their silver wheels to look pretty much the same as an onyx wheel.

On the other hand there are nicer looking lighter wheels out there so before you swap to the OEM Onyx wheels make sure you look at aftermarket options. The Onyx wheel is 26 pounds - not bad but you can find lighter wheels (would not recommend anything heavier)

Great information and thanks for the quick reply.
I looked at painting or plastidipping the wheels. Just wanted to avoid it because this is a lease and I don't want to get dinged when I return the car...although I think with plastidip you can actually peel it off...gonna have to do some more research into that.
Regardless, thanks again for the information!

I was able to buy a set of 4 OEM Onyx wheels tires and TPMS for my 2020 Limited from someone who was changing our their tires/rims altogether. Easy off and on at Les Schwab for NC and the TPMS were recognized by the car no problem. I'd imagine switching the TPMS and caps would run a couple hundred $.
