My 2009 Outback, non turbo 2.5l manual transmission; just hit a 100k and I'm looking to do the timing belt change. I know there are a variety of kits out there and I want to make sure I have all the parts I need once I get the project started. If anyone has a list/links to the kit I should use, I would appreciate it.

Aisin TKF-011

AISIN TKF-011 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump, 1 Pack

It should have the mitsuboshi timing belt

I appreciate the information. From what I see from those links.... RockAuto is the place to go!

Good time for a coolant-replacement if you haven't already. Also, "while you're in there", you may want to consider replacing the upper/lower radiator hoses, and the small lower hose that connects to the waterpump ; I replaced mine, as they were hard and brittle, and difficult to remove. Inspect the cam and crank seals too. Also, since you have a manual transmission, their should be a "guard" just above the crank sprocket, make sure that gets re-installed (or replaced) before you button it up. Good Luck with all of this, keep us posted :)

What he said. New OEM thermostat , new OEM radiator cap too

Stay away from aftermarket parts on these two critical components. Two dollars saved is $1000 spent later

No problem as far as I'm concerned. For XT owners, the legacyGT forum covers a lot of common issues with both cars. Lot's of parts are the same. Engine wise and drive line.
