Hi Guys,
With the price of tools from China going up (at least the short term), I'm thinking of getting either a Autel TS508WF or Xtool TP150.
I have a 16 XV and 18 OB which are starting to show low batteries for the TPMS sensors. I figure, I'll buy a bunch of Denso TPMS sensors for $30/each and swap them out myself.
What does a TPMS sensor swap at a Subaru dealership go for these days?
I figure the Subaru sensors are around $60 each plus the labor of swapping sensors, and reprogramming at $200/hr. If I go to an independent or tire shop, aftermarket sensors are $20-30 and the labor is probably a better rate, but I'm paying at least $250 a car?
Unfortunately, the tires were only replaced 1 and 2 years ago. We thought the stock sensors would be good for 10+ years, so we didn't install them then. Tire tires came with lifetime balancing, so I can always get that done if the new sensors cause balance issues.
Anyone have the Autel or Xtool TPMS solutions and wish they picked the other?
