@GentleBreeze, it looks like you mounted the 245/65R17 Trails on on the stock wheels. Do you have any rubbing or fitment issues? Considering the 235/65R17 A/T3W for a new wilderness and want to make sure I don't have any problems with those. Thanks.
Hey FISubie - if you decide to go with 235/65/17 I may be doing the same - would like some pics if you pull the plug - I imagine you should not have any issues with that sizing on stock wheels.

Ha, I was hoping you'd go first and post pics! (Vehicle is due late April.) Would love to get confirmation that @GentleBreeze breeze didn't have any size problems, and then I know I'll be good. It's just a tough call between the Trail and A/T3W. Practical vs. cooler...

Mine is due in May - have a VIN but there seems to be some delays with transport from Indiana to Toronto. Was thinking of upsizing the OE to 235 Geolander since I am only partial to driving on trails - just need decent rubber to get to the trails! Most of the rest of time will be on tarmac. IMO, the car needs just a slightly 'beefier' look. Also using Tire Calculator tool, the 235 will keep your speedo more honest to true speed lol!

Zero fitment nor space issues. Numerous U-turns without a single concern.

Look at how narrow the tread of the 235 A/T 3W is: Skinny 7.3". Might as well keep the OE tire.

Good to hear, thanks!

OE: 6.7"
235 3W: 7.3"
245 Trail: 8.2"
245 3W: 8.3"
You raise a good point on tread width, but everything is a trade-off. Same chart, but weights:
OE: 29.5lbs
235 3W: 31.1lbs
245 Trail: 37.9lbs
245 3W: 39lbs

No perfect answer, and certainly not the same answer for everyone. Yours does look great, and I'm happy to hear the 245s fit.

Hi! I know this is a little late to the game.... but I'm curious how the 245 tire fits in the spare tire well. I'm assuming it'll fit no problem if it's deflated, but just wanted to know what you were doing.

Thanks

I'm keeping the OE full size spare. It's been over a decade since I had to use a spare tire, probably over two decades. 1" diameter difference doesn't concern me for temporary use.
