7yr/100k mi/ $0 ded Gold Plan is about $1400. Any Subaru dealer will honor it. Don't know about the other plan and any exclusions or extra requirements.

 

Extended warranties are negotiable, never pay retail for them.
You don't have to decide at the time of purchase, tell the dealer you will think about it. You have 3 years to buy the extended warranty.
The finance manager gets spiffs for selling you stuff after the car sales person sold you the car. Don't fall for paint warranties, wax applications, Scotchguard treatments or undercoating.
