Hello All,

After reading through this thread, I figured this might be the best place to post a related question.

2008 OBW LL Bean edition w/ the H6.

Idler pulley bearing failed, idler pulley got crooked, serpentine belt came off.

Wanted to get the car back home over the weekend.

Only option I could find was an Advanced Autoparts store 20 minutes before they closed.

They sold me what they thought was a replacement pulley.

I put it on, it seems to be 'okay'... but I'm not convinced.

It lacks the ~5mm shoulder on the 'back' of the pulley surface.

Ditto for it lacking the ~3mm shoulder on the 'front' of the pulley surface.

Otherwise it appears to be the same diameter, but there's very little surface on either side of the belt.

(Sorry I don't have a part number. Standard stuff... I put it on in a torrential downpour, at night, box and receipt got tossed.)

I'm not the most mechanically inclined, so I'm not up for pressing the old bearing out and replacing it.

What I'd like to ask, please:

Could someone confirm the Dayco part number I can use to replace both the idler pulley and the tensioner pulley?

And, will the Dayco replacement have the 'shoulders' that I see on the OEM pulleys?

Many, and sincere, thanks to all... I appreciate it!

Saw your other post yesterday, and wanted to find my post! You got to it first! By "shoulder" do you mean exess pully on either side of the belt, or a raised ridge to help keep the belt on? If you mean the latter, there is no raised edge. Not on my original or the replacement. I ordered from Amazon. I'll check what I got and link here.
