From what I'm being told..Unofficially..from SOA The Brilliant Brown Pearl option was discontinued on November 10, 2012. I was also able to get the following unconfirmed numbers on how many were done in Brown.. As of November 13, the number was placed at 817 units.

I just purchased a 3.6R with SAP in Brown and will be putting up pictures this weekend..

@OBnube - I could do WITHOUT that DISO option!! ;)

@HDSkullfire2 - I'll be curious to see how your gas mileage is. My 2.5 is only getting 20mpg right now, but I'm told it gets better as the engine gets broken in.

I uploaded some pics - including a picture of the rear heated seat switches. I'll try to put in here - but I think the pics need to be approved by a moderator before they'll show up?

817 eh?
Just so that number means anything to me - to compare - what would be the production number of say - black SAP's up to the same date? (ballpark).
There are a fair amount of Brown OB's in California dealers still. I am hoping there is still one when I finally buy in a month or 2. If not - oh well, then Ill just have to get black.

When I first started trying to upload pictures I had all kinds of trouble. For some reason the file sizes were to big. I had to "resize" them to a smaller file size and all was good. No trouble since but it is a pain to do that every picture.

Very, very nice color. Congrats!

Have one coming in Feb

I realize this conversation was a few months ago but I wanted to chime in that we just put a deposit on a SAP with BBP that our dealer has allocated to come to them from Subaru in Feb. I really wanted the SAP and did not want the white or black but was discouraged when everyone I talked to in the South East did not have any in stock. The dealer here in our area sells below dealer invoice on cars they have on the lot or allocated directly to their dealership and I didn't want to pay the extra cash for a transfer. Luckily our salesman looked ahead to see what was coming in as we had decided our only other choice was a limited green with navigation and moonroof and discovered a SAP in BBP was headed their way. He thinks Subaru put a hold on making anymore when they switched from option package #23 to #35. Of course it will still be in limited production.

Also I agree with a past poster who said why wouldn't they have made the green with saddle brown leather as a SAP. Honestly that color combination would have been extremely pleasing to the eye!

Any word on whether you will be getting the Brown one as promised by the dealer?? I'm still not seeing anything indicating Subaru was going to re-continue the Brilliant brown Pearl color.. I know that SOA went into a programmed hold in late January on producing more SAP's due to how many of the white and black ones are on the market at this time..

I'd be curious to know if you get one in Brown and what the build plate shows as the month and year of yours..

Either way good luck with it..

Can anyone confirm whether SOA did stop producing The Brilliant Brown Pearl option.

Is that an option color for the 2014 Outback Limited?

Thanks!
